Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa standing at 19,308ft. It is part of the Seven Summits and a challenge that defeats many mountain climbers.
Kilimanjaro is also the worlds highest free standing mountain.
How long is the climb and what route are we taking?
We will be taking the Rongai route up the mountain. It will take 5 days to to reach the summit and 7 days to complete the climb.
The Rongai route is the only route to ascend Kilimanjaro from the north-eastern side of the mountain, along the border between Tanzania and Kenya. This route retains a sense of unspoiled wilderness and offers a different perspective on Kilimanjaro by approaching it from the north.
The Rongai route is one of the least well travelled, but the most accessible, providing the highest possible chance of summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro.
