We are pleased to announce our commitment to support client Martin Hibbert, as he embarks on the challenge of a lifetime in climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Martin is one of the Manchester Arena Attack survivors whose life changed forever on 22nd May 2017, where he suffered 22 shrapnel wounds, severing his spinal cord leaving him paralysed.
From the moment Martin woke up in hospital he has faced increasing challenges – from recovery to rehabilitation, and then returning home – he has faced mountain after mountain to climb. None of which could have been conquered without the incredible support of the Spinal Injuries Association.
Martin now wants to give back and in doing so, help others come to terms with their life changing moments.
A ‘Challenge for Change’ with a mission:
He has one ask – that we join him in becoming an #everydaymountaineer to help raise funds as he takes on the tremendous challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in a specially adapted bike to raise £1m to provide better support to people who suffer spinal injuries in the UK.
After a year of restrictions, we are joining forces with client Martin to help him achieve the CHALLENGE of a LIFETIME.
We want to back Martin’s campaign by rallying together as Team Hudgells to raise funds and awareness between now and the climb in September.
We’ve set ourselves the challenge to raise £100k of his £1m target between us and during the course of the next few weeks we’ll be announcing more ways you can get involved.
